Industry-Standard SSL Encryption Technology
CustomCart's secure check out system uses industry standard 128-bit SSL encryption security. SSL guarantees security by creating a secure, encrypted channel for data exchange between the user's browser and CustomCart servers. When a user is in a secure session, a locked padlock icon will be displayed by the browser to indicate that the session is secure. In addition, CustomCart never stores credit card data, but passes it only via the secure channel to the credit card processing gateways (AuthorizeNet or TransFirst).

How SSL Works
An SSL Certificate consists of a public key and a private key. The public key is used to encrypt information and the private key is used to decipher it. When a Web browser points to a secured domain, a Secure Sockets Layer handshake authenticates the server (Web site) and the client (Web browser). An encryption method is established with a unique session key. They can begin a secure session that guarantees message privacy and message integrity.

Administrator Security
CustomCart's administrator also makes use of security to help protect your customers' information. When you sign up for CustomCart service, a single administrator account is created. When you log in using this account, you may create other administrator accounts and set the security level for each. You may enable or disable any section of the administrator system for each account you create. This allows you to give one person access to the code generator, for example, but not to the order processing system. Administrator accounts can be created, changed, or deleted at any time.
