Here is a brief overview of how your web site communicates with CustomCart's servers to provide a seamless shopping experience for your web site visitors. CustomCart is an "On-Demand" hosted application which means that it runs on our servers. There is nothing for you to load, setup, or host. When someone visits your web site and decides to add an item to their shopping cart, your site submits a small HTML form to CustomCart's system. This form, called a "CartLink", contains all of the information that is needed to automatically create a cart for the shopper on-the-fly and add the item to it. The results of the add-to-cart operation are then displayed to the shopper.
